Every big-air trick worth filming has a hand on the board. Grabs at the top of a boost, board-offs, board spins — a solid handle is what turns those from lucky into repeatable.
The Blueye Custom Big-Air Handle is built to order for your board, in the material you choose, with an option to personalize with your creds. No universal-fit compromise, no fumble on landing, no hot spots on your palm at the end of a long session.
Insert spacing is different on almost every brand. Instead of shipping one handle and hoping it lines up, we build each one to the insert pattern of the board you actually ride, so it drops straight onto your existing insert holes — no drilling, no shims, no washers stacked under one foot.
We build to the insert patterns for North, Cabrinha, Duotone, Lieuwe, Vantage, Koldshapes, CrazyFly, F-One, Reedin, Harlem, Ozone, Airush, Carved, Eleveight, Flysurfer, Core, Slingshot, Naish, Nobile, RRD and Brunotti.
Riding something else? Tell us anyway — most patterns are either shared across brands or easy to match. We'll confirm the spacing with you before anything gets built.
There's no board selector in the cart. Just order, then send us your board in one reply (see below).
Standard PETG. The workhorse. Impact-tough, saltwater and UV stable, with a touch of give — a hard landing loads it and lets go instead of shocking straight through it. This is the right handle for most riders and most sessions.
Carbon-reinforced PETG. The same base plastic, with chopped carbon fibre strands running through it. The fibres stiffen the part noticeably, so there's no perceptible flex when you're hanging off it at the apex, and it holds its shape better after a day strapped to a hot roof rack. It finishes in a deep matte black with a fine surface texture that grips well even before you add tape.
The honest trade-off: stiffer means less forgiving. Carbon transmits more and absorbs less, so in a genuinely violent impact it's more likely to chip than to bend. Choose standard for maximum forgiveness, carbon for maximum stiffness and the matte finish.
The bar is shaped with a rounded, slightly ovalized profile and enough clearance under it to get a full-fist grab with cold, wet hands or a bootie-thick winter session. Sharp edges are broken and radiused so the handle doesn't bite when you load it hard at the apex. Want more bite? Add textured grip tape at checkout — it's the single best upgrade for boosting in strong winds.
Choose With custom text at checkout and we'll build your wording straight into the handle — your name, your home spot, your local crew, your Instagram handle. Up to 12 characters. Prefer it clean? Choose Without custom text and it ships as-is.
There's nothing to type in the cart. Once your order lands, hit reply on the confirmation email and send us:
We'll write back to confirm both before anything goes into production, so nothing gets built off a typo. One reply, one confirmation, then we make it.
Mounting takes about five minutes with a single driver. Pull your old handle, drop this one onto the same inserts and run in the two M6 screws we've included. Snug them evenly — firm, not gorilla-tight — and re-check after your first two sessions, the same way you'd check your fin screws. Rinse with fresh water when you rinse your board.
Blueye is a rider-run shop. We coach big air, we ride big air, and we've broken enough hardware to know what fails and why. Every handle is built by hand in-house, and if something isn't right when it lands on your doorstep, message us and we'll make it right.
Pick your material. Tell us your board brand. Go get some air.
