Kitesurf the world's most iconic wind region! Join us in Ceara, Brazil in October 2026!

Trip Overview

Blueye Explores curates high-end, experience-driven journeys to some of the world's most iconic watersports destinations. For Brazil 2026, we're teaming up with the KiteNB crew to head to the Ceará coast of Northeast Brazil — a stretch of coastline known worldwide for its relentless, dependable wind and its string of world-class kiteboarding spots.

This is a point-to-point coastal adventure through three of the region's best kite destinations: Ilha Do Guajiru, Jericoacoara / Preá, and Tatajuba / Guriú. Each stop offers something distinct — vast flat-water lagoons, open-ocean downwinders, and steady cross-shore wind that lets you ride session after session. Guided by the Blueye team, every day is built around maximizing your time on the water while a dedicated support vehicle handles all the logistics in between.

The trip kicks off with a standout feature: dedicated Big Air coaching sessions with an International Pro and Champion to launch your week. Get expert eyes on your jumping early on — building confidence in strong wind and unlocking progression you'll carry through the rest of the trip.

Ceará is a place where kiteboarding and local culture meet effortlessly: warm hospitality, fresh coastal food, laid-back fishing villages, and some of the most consistent wind conditions on the planet. Our program is intentionally designed to remove friction — so you can focus entirely on riding, exploring, and recovering between sessions.

From reading wind and tides to dialing in your session flow across each unique spot, the combined Blueye and KiteNB team brings personalized guidance to help every rider make the most of this legendary coastline.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the expected wind and weather conditions?
Late October to early November sits in the heart of the Ceará windy season, which runs roughly July to January and peaks for wind from September through November. You can expect strong, dependable cross-shore trade winds nearly every day — typically in the 20–35 knot range, with the northern spots (Jericoacoara, Preá, Tatajuba) blowing harder than spots closer to Fortaleza. The wind usually builds through late morning, holds steady into the afternoon, and stays rideable right up to a sunset session. The water and air are warm and tropical — no wetsuit needed; most riders are in boardshorts or a shorty.

Which airport should I fly into?
All guests should book flights to Fortaleza (FOR). Airport transfers to the first location are included. Specific connection and timing guidance will be shared with confirmed participants.

What skill level is required?
This trip is for independent intermediate-to-advanced kiteboarders. You should be able to stay upwind reliably, self-rescue, manage your own gear, and ride confidently in a range of conditions. It is not a beginner or instructional trip.

What kite sizes should I bring?
Given the consistently strong wind across these spots, most riders use smaller kites here than they might at home. Expect to ride mostly 5m–9m, with 7m–9m being the workhorses and a 5m–6m for the windiest afternoons at Preá and Tatajuba. Bringing a small quiver ensures you're always powered correctly as conditions build through the day.

What other gear should I bring?

  • Twin-tip and/or directional board per your preference
  • Harness & Leash
  • Control Bar with newer lines
  • No wetsuit needed — water is warm; boardshorts or a shorty are plenty
  • Safety gear: helmet and impact vest recommended
  • Repair kit, spare lines, pump, and backup hardware

What else should I pack?
Sun protection (sunscreen, lip balm, sunglasses, sun shirts, hats), swimwear, light casual clothing, comfortable shoes and sandals, and a personal first-aid kit. The climate is hot and tropical.

Is WiFi available?
WiFi is generally available at the pousadas. Check with your phone provider about international roaming before traveling.

What currency is used and should I bring cash?
The currency in Brazil is the Brazilian Real (BRL). Bring cash for gratuities, lunches, dinners, and incidentals. Card acceptance varies, especially in more remote villages, so carrying some cash is recommended.

Can I bring additional travel companions?
Additional companions are not permitted as participants without prior approval from Blueye. Only the number of guests paid for may participate in the program and accommodations.

What if I get sick or injured while traveling?
Blueye is not responsible for the health or medical care of participants. Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover potential medical or travel disruptions.

Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?
Let Blueye know your dietary needs as early as possible so we can communicate them where relevant. Note that lunches and dinners are self-arranged.

What are the booking terms?

  • Deposit ($500 Double / $750 Single) required at booking via the Trip Booking Page
  • Second payment of $1000 due by August 31st 2026
  • Final balance due by October 28th 2026
  • See the full cancellation policy above for details.

What are the participant conduct requirements?
Blueye aims to create safe, positive, and inclusive community experiences centered around a water-connected lifestyle. Not permitted: illegal activity; harmful or threatening behavior; defamatory, hateful, or abusive conduct; disrespect toward other participants, partners, or the local community.
